DIAMONDS

Hello! I hope everyone’s doing great! And if not then trust me you’ll get through it! So…been really long, isn’t it?

I’ve been MIA since sooo long that I miss my blog. Yesterday I went on a drive with my best friend. We’ve been friends for I don’t know how many years and she more off feels like my elder sister rather than my friend. Okay…..so to begin with, friendships have always been hard for me.

I’m talking about broken friendships, friendships you thought would last all life long but turns out it just wasn’t for you.

We all, at some stage of our life have lost a friend, their friendship and it kinda sucks to be honest.

As kids, we never really understood what friendships are, but it is so much more than just sharing our tiffins.

It was all about reserving the seat beside you for your friend until they come, it was about holding hands while walking in lines, it was about getting extremely sad and feeling lonely when your friend was absent, it was about drawing, playing and having fun together.

That was real

Won’t say that friendships these days aren’t real.

You might have great friends, who support you, who are there for you at every time of your life and maybe that is how it should be.

That is how friendships should be.

But there’s a thing about these broken friendships, the memories never leave your side, just like any broken relationship.

But really, I don’t think it’s important to have quantity when you have quality. That one person who brings out the best in you, who allows you to be yourself when they are around and I think that’s all we need in this busy world.

Thankfully I’m blessed with the best people whom I call them as my friends. Our friendship is a mixture of all the references from the Netflix shows, the movies we watch and the things we do!

I too encountered unfinished friendships but these people never make me feel that I’m missing something.

We often forget to appreciate the people around us and our friends are really the ones who need the appreciation.

Check upon your friends, the people around you. Plan brunches, click selfies, watch movies together and have fun….that’s what really matters.

Thankyou to all those people who light up my life like diamonds and also keep me sane along with letting me be insane when I want to.

Love,

Sukhpreet ✨
